Lab day 7: Human senses



In this practice we made different experimentes involving human senses.

Here are some images about the procedure of the experiments.









This experiments are useful to see that even that our body is a great machine we are able to trick it because our brain does not always process information so fast.

Lab day 1: Gummy bear Osmosis GUMMY BEARS · DIFFUSION: Diffusion is the random movement of molecules. · OSMOSIS : Osmosis is the  diffusion of water molecules in and out of the membrane of the cell                 The water can be in one of these situations:  Hypertonic: more concentrated.  Hypotonic: less concentrated. Isotonic: same concentration EXAMPLE: We have three gummy bears, one is red, anotherone is colorless, and the last one is yellow. We put the red one in salt water, the colorless one in normal water and the yellow one in honey; and we leave them for 1 day and see what has happened. Lab day 5: CPR & Heimlich manewer During  this practice we learned how to do a CPR, CPR means Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation  CPR's steps are: 1- See if the person is conscious. 2- Ask for help. 3- Make sure that the person's vital states are okay. 4- If he/she can't breathe then do the CPR.  How to do the CPR The CPR must be done  in cicles of 30 chest compressions and 2 insuflations. If the victim is not an adult you must do at least 5 insuflation before doing 30:2 and the compressions must be done with only one hand.  If the victim is a baby you have to do 5 insuflations and then 15:2, but with only two fingers to prevent ribs from breaking.                               It would be great to call to emergencies so someone more capable to help the person .  Heimlich manewer This is a manewer that is used when the victim is chocking. ...
