Lab day 5: CPR & Heimlich manewer During  this practice we learned how to do a CPR, CPR means Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation  CPR's steps are: 1- See if the person is conscious. 2- Ask for help. 3- Make sure that the person's vital states are okay. 4- If he/she can't breathe then do the CPR.  How to do the CPR The CPR must be done  in cicles of 30 chest compressions and 2 insuflations. If the victim is not an adult you must do at least 5 insuflation before doing 30:2 and the compressions must be done with only one hand.  If the victim is a baby you have to do 5 insuflations and then 15:2, but with only two fingers to prevent ribs from breaking.                               It would be great to call to emergencies so someone more capable to help the person .  Heimlich manewer This is a manewer that is used when the victim is chocking. ...

Lab day 1: Gummy bear Osmosis GUMMY BEARS · DIFFUSION: Diffusion is the random movement of molecules. · OSMOSIS : Osmosis is the  diffusion of water molecules in and out of the membrane of the cell                 The water can be in one of these situations:  Hypertonic: more concentrated.  Hypotonic: less concentrated. Isotonic: same concentration EXAMPLE: We have three gummy bears, one is red, anotherone is colorless, and the last one is yellow. We put the red one in salt water, the colorless one in normal water and the yellow one in honey; and we leave them for 1 day and see what has happened. When we look at the next day we can see some changes The  colurless one has swell. Práctica 6: Moléculas Esta práctica sirve para que aprendamos que cada elemento tiene una capacidad de combinación con otros. Esta capacidad son los electrones que le faltan para ser estable. Aquí aplicamos la regla del octeto. Cada átomo quiere parecerse al gas noble más cercano y para eso quiere completar los electrones de su última capa, para ello se producen enlaces covalentes en dónde los átomos comparten electrones. La profesora nos prestó unos palillos y unas bolas de plastilina para que practicáramos formando moléculas que nos pedía la hoja de la práctica. Por último debíamos escribir la fórmula de la molécula que habíamos creado.cac Para esto había que escribir los elementos en un orden específico e indicar el subíndice para saber cuál era el número de átomos en cada molécula.
